After a decade of striving to balance financial sustainability with delivering top-notch products at the most reasonable prices, our management team and consultants concluded that we had two options.
1 - Permanently close our doors
2 - Relocate to a more affordable location to reduce our biggest expense - the rent
I couldn't bear the thought of leaving our wonderful customers who have supported us. I also didn't want to increase prices further. Many believe custom framing is too costly and prefer using craft store coupons. However, those coupons are misleading, and the products are inferior. What we offer is quality, handcrafted custom work, which requires skill, time, and archival materials.
We decided to exit the "retail" space and free ourselves from predatory landlords. Large companies can afford prominent, convenient retail locations, but small businesses do not have that luxury.
We began our search, which was challenging, but we were fortunate to find a much larger space with a significant reduction in rent and expenses. On August 1st, 2025, we moved to 16068 Foster St. in Southern Overland Park, just off Hwy 69 and 159th, behind the QT on 159th at the corner of 161st and Foster. The move was exhausting, as all moves are, but we are thrilled about the fresh start. This location offers us more space to work, the ability to handle larger projects, convenient front-door parking, and plenty of it.
However, Google suspended our listing, severely impacting our ability to attract new customers and helping regular customers find us. While we work to resolve this, we are thankful for every recommendation and referral from our valued customers.
